Recognizing the interconnectedness of regional and extra-regional dynamics, this thematic area focuses on the evolving relationship between IGAD member states and the influential Gulf countries. Our research specifically examines the multifaceted conflict in Yemen and its implications for the Horn, as well as the diverse political, economic, and security relations between Gulf states and IGAD member countries, including investment, trade, and diplomatic engagements.
